Alliance Care Now (formerly Orphan Care Ethiopia) is a philanthropic, not-for-profit organization with ONE Mission - To improve the lives of orphans in Ethiopia through advocacy, education, and the financial support of agencies and individuals fighting the orphan crisis on the ground.
Due to poverty, HIV, chronic illness, and a lack of female empowerment programs, there are 5 million vulnerable children in Ethiopia ranging from infancy to 18 years of age.
The Cause
Hundreds of private orphanages have been forced to close due to lack of funding, resulting in millions of vulnerable children often living their entire lives on the streets or are trapped in trafficking and child labor. With too many children and not enough domestic adoptions, government orphanages find themselves overburdened and unable to provide basic and emotional needs.

Alliance Care Now (ACN) is led by individuals from varied backgrounds in government, business, and healthcare, carrying the burden for Ethiopian children who cannot advocate for themselves. The Board of Directors has a targeted goal for 100% of all funds raised to be directed toward the following: to increase awareness of the orphan crisis and to provide physical, medical, financial, and spiritual support for the children.
ACN provides a "local" solution to the orphan crisis in Ethiopia. As a volunteer-driven organization, ACN believes the orphan crisis is best addressed by those who live in the community, know the community’s assets and needs, and have a passion for seeing the lives of vulnerable children transformed through holistic solutions. ACN is mobilizing and equipping individuals and organizations in Ethiopia through training, financial support, and other resources to increase their effectiveness in addressing the needs of vulnerable children.
