The Need
Throughout Ethiopia, many single moms and their vulnerable children have no alternative but to work the streets for pocket change where they face many dangers and degradation.
Our Action
In 2022, we launched ACN’s Childcare Program to address this need. In just a few months, this program has aided 9 deserving moms with basic necessities: food, clothes, diapers, and much needed childcare. These women are also placed in ACN’s Mentorship Program, which pairs vulnerable teens and young moms with business owners to learn a trade and earn an honest living.
